The Xyloba marble run is constructed from the base, i.e. from the point where the tune ends. Short ramps produce quarter notes and connect two adjacent towers. Long ramps generate half notes and run through an adjacent tower to the next tower.
Each ramp starts from and ends in a sound block where the chime is inserted.
The lower end of the ramp is somewhat shorter and is inserted into the large opening of the sound block. The upper end of the ramp is somewhat longer and is attached to the top edge of a block where the next sound block is mounted.
